Who We Are
The transformative learning experiences at Camelot International School are designed to help our students grow both in and out of the classroom. Founded in 2014, Camelot International School is located in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo. With more than 85 students and over 15 dedicated and passionate teachers & staff, we are here to help our students make an impact on the world.
Primary School
At Camelot, we value the importance of building up the students' basic knowledge and skills from an early age. This will allow students to create positive learning habits and routines at school, and prepare the students for their successful learning in secondary school.
We follow the Cambridge Primary Curriculum for our students from Grade 1 to Grade 5 and focus on the students' learning experience that will strengthen and encourage their interest to learn.
Also, by encouraging both participation and collaboration between each other in the school, we dedicate ourselves to teaching how to become thoughtful and independent individuals.
We believe that both academic and personal development are crucial components that we strongly value in school. Our target is not to nurture students who can only study and perform well academically, but to develop a balanced individual, who does well academically, while having a kind and thoughtful heart.
Lower Secondary School
In September 2017, we launched our secondary division to our affordable and friendly international school.
Continuing the Camelot principles of providing a safe and welcoming learning environment, the secondary division places emphasis on each student's needs and goals. Our curriculum focuses on the essential skills for studying in an international framework, with English as the language of tuition in all subjects.
From Grade 6 to 8, students follow the Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme, which allows for choices and rewards individual strengths.
Upper Secondary School (IGCSE & A-Levels)
In September 2019, we introduced the Cambridge IGCSE Programme, and in September 2021, we launched the GCE A-Level Programme.
Our school's first graduating class will be attending university in June 2023.
