Our School

Camelot International School provides students with a creative and comfortable learning atmosphere in a cozy learning environment with small class sizes.

The school was founded in 2014, starting as a primary school with only 6 students. The school has been growing rapidly, with currently over 85 students in less than 10 years since its foundation. Our values have not changed from when we started in 2014, where we aim to provide a learner-centered approach to further develop one's strengths while supporting them to overcome their weaknesses.

In line with this growth, we started our lower secondary division in September 2017. We soon launched our IGCSE Programme for Grade 9 & Grade 10 (UK Standard: Year 10 & Year 11) in September 2019 as well as the GCE A-Level Programme for Grade 11 & Grade 12 (UK Standard: Year 12 & Year 13) in September 2021.

We now teach all years/grades from Grade 1 to Grade 12.

Inclusive School Environment

A school must first be comfortable for any student to learn. We value the construction of an inclusive school environment where all members of the school have mutual respect towards each other. Students, teachers, staff, and administrators alike should feel valued, respected, and heard, regardless of their backgrounds, abilities, or identities. In our pursuit of an inclusive school, we recognize the importance of diversity as a strength. Embracing diverse perspectives, cultures, and experiences enriches the learning journey, broadens horizons, and prepares students for a globalized world.

Small Class Sizes

Our commitment to a small class environment with no more than 18 students per homeroom class and a student-faculty ratio of 7:1 is driven by our belief that personalized attention is fundamental to fostering academic excellence and overall growth in our students.

In such an intimate setting, our dedicated and experienced teachers can truly understand each student's unique strengths and challenges. This personalized approach allows us to tailor our teaching methods to cater to individual needs, ensuring that no student is left behind and that every student reaches their full potential.

As an educational institution, we continuously invest in maintaining this ideal class size to ensure that every student benefits from an exceptional and tailored education. We prioritize quality over quantity, as we firmly believe that providing the necessary attention and support to each student is essential for their success both in academics and in life.

Beyond Academics

We expect students to be more than "book smart" individuals. Beyond academics, we place a strong emphasis on building emotional intelligence and social skills as we consider them to be an essential skill for overall personal growth and success in life. Our goal is to empower students with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of the modern world and develop into well-rounded individuals even after they graduate from Camelot. We take pride in knowing that our students not only achieve outstanding academic results but also develop into confident, independent individuals, equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in an ever-changing world.

Location

Our school is located in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo, providing easy access from the city. The school is located near Kotake-Mukaihara Station (小竹向原駅), which is only one stop from Ikebukuro station using the rapid train and three stops using the local train. The station passes through the Fukutoshin and Yurakucho Line, providing convenient transfer from different lines.
