Our Philosophy

King Arthur had congregated with his knights at the round table in the castle, Camelot. There is no head at this round table, suggesting how everyone has an equal status. At Camelot International School, we emphasize the importance of treating each other equally and fairly. Regardless of gender, ethnicity, roles, religion, or age, the students and teachers are all here to learn and achieve goals together with respect.

Circle Emblem

The circle emblem represents the round table of Camelot. There is no head at this round table, suggesting how everyone has an equal status in our community.

Book of NOUS

Books are the primary source of knowledge, symbolizing education, learning, and intellectual growth. It represents the accumulation of human wisdom and the pursuit of understanding.

"NOUS" means "mind" or "intellect" in Greek. This word corporates the profound notion to emphasize the significance of reason, intellectual development, and thinking. The school strives to foster an environment where students' minds are nurtured, challenged, and empowered to engage with complex ideas and contribute positively to society.

Feather Pen

Ivy

Ivy is a hardy plant that clings to surfaces and can endure challenging conditions. In the logo, it represents the lasting impact of education and the continuous pursuit of knowledge throughout one's life.

The pen represents the tool and weapon for students use to nurture their knowledge and learning. The knowledge and skills they acquire at Camelot serve as the key that unlocks the doors to their future success and endeavors.

The pen becomes mightier than any sword, empowering students to communicate their thoughts and aspirations.

Our Purpose

Our students and teachers are dedicated to imagining and creating new possibilities for a better future - a future in which all people have access to quality education. The options for internationally-minded parents in Japan are currently limited to prohibitively expensive international schools or 'International Programmes' at Japanese schools.

At Camelot, we aim to provide a third option. Students and teachers at Camelot are a community shaped by the pursuit of truth, respect, and compassion while providing outstanding preparation for higher learning and for life, underpinned with the aim to provide this opportunity to everyone regardless of their social or economic status.

Our Vision

Our vision is to empower our students to embrace their full potential as confident, kind, and independent individuals, ready to shape a positive and transformative future for themselves and the world.

Kindness

While academic excellence is important, we believe that developing kindness and empathy towards oneself and others is equally crucial for personal and societal well-being. At Camelot, we recognize and value the significance of kindness and seek to instill this attribute in our students, alongside academic achievement.

Confidence

At our school, we strive to cultivate a sense of pride and self-assurance in our students by providing an environment that fosters self-awareness and personal growth. Our goal is to equip students with the tools they need to understand themselves and to develop the confidence to pursue their aspirations.

Independence

We recognize the importance of independent thinking and decision-making in today's society. At Camelot, we aim to foster an environment that encourages students to think critically and act independently based on their own beliefs, rather than blindly following the crowd. Our goal is to equip our students with the skills they need to become self-reliant, confident, and responsible individuals to follow what they believe is just.
